Kit contents detail - * 1 x full size recurve bow. What do we mean by full size? This means its dimensions are optimised for the height of the archer. This is a good quality bow that doesn't break the bank. It is often used by beginners in clubs throughout the county as the launch point for getting into the sport. Attractively laminated, robust and reliable.
* 6 x SF Axiom arrows. Just as important to the kit as the bow, though often overlooked. Not all arrows are the same. We have selected an arrow of notably higher quality than other archery sets found on the web. This is important because no matter how good the bow is, or how good you get, cheap arrows do not shoot the same every time! The 'Axiom' will give you confidence - and only yourself to blame!
* 1 x Dacron string. You won't get far without a string! Reinforced ends and centre serving for longer life.
* 2 x arrow rests. One of these is needed on a bow and is stuck just above the arrow shelf to support the arrow. We include an extra one free of charge because ... well, it might come in handy one day.
* 2 x brass nock sets. These are crimped on to the bow string to mark the nocking point of the arrow.
* 1 x Basic bracer. Fits around your forearm, just in case the string should catch on loose.
* 1 x Leather glove. Fits on your drawing hand to stop you getting sore fingers.
* 1 x Bow Stringer. Needed to safely string and de-string your bow.
* 1 x 'An Introduction to Archery' DVD. Archery kits are renowned for having poor instructions. So we decided to do something about it. We have produced a 35 minute instructional DVD guiding you through the assembly and shooting of your bow. This is an ideal companion to this bow kit and we hope will further your enjoyment of this set.
* 1 x Target Sight. There are two holes on the side of the bow used for the mounting of a sight. This sight is fitted there, and can be adjusted vertically and horizontally to improve accuracy.
* 1 x Target Quiver. Used in conjunction with any belt, this quiver hangs at the waist to hold your arrows. Tough, cordura type material, storage compartments and 4 plastic arrow tubes. (Colour may vary from that shown)
* 1 x Case. When the bow is de-strung it fits nicely into this padded case. (Colour may vary from that shown)
* 1 x Big Shot target. The best all round practice target on the market. Weather proof construction can be left outside. More than 10 times the life of a typical straw target mat. Cover includes integral carrying handles and painted targets on the front and back. Simple screw on wooden feet to keep it stood up. Compressed Foam core is kind to arrows. Approximate dimensions 90cm x 90cm x 40cm.

Customer Reviews
Great value for money!
Paul - Pilling
This kit comes with everything you need to start archery and it's all good quality. The dvd that comes with it is very helpful, I advise watching if before trying to do anything with your bow to avoid damaging it.
It arrived the next day after it being posted, which is fantastic, was also very well packaged. There are no faults at all with their service. I will be buying from them again.
Brilliant First Archery Kit for the garden
Geoff - Leicestershire
I first did archery at college in the mid 60's. Thought I would give it another try and bought this kit. The staff at Merlin were very helpful. The bow is ofbexcellent quality. I did buy some slightly upgraded arrows but well worth it. The weatherproof target butt is perfect for the garden. The instructional DVD is very helpful in getting the basics right. I was pleased to find that I was still a fairly good shot. Will one consider joining my local archery club.
I also bought a junior recurve bow to teach my grand children, excellent value.
Well done Merlin.
Excellent kit and very useful DVD
Debbie - Ayrshire
This kit was carefully and securely packaged, and all the contents were exactly as advertised, the only difference in some products being the colour (as the ad states).
The kit is of outstanding quality, and the DVD included is very straightforward and easy to follow.
The Big Shot target, although huge, is easy to carry and is incredibly light.
This is my first bow, I relied on my Archery Club bows beforehand, and I am absolutely delighted with the full kit. Highly recommended!
excellent Kit
Keith - Doncaster
Bow and the carbon arrows are good quality, no issues with the quiver tubes either (possibly due to the excessive packaging, will take 5mins to work your way through it), excellent starter kit except arm guard too small (OUCH), figured out why you get 2 arrow rests as in your excitement to shoot you put the arrow in upside down and they break the rest(glad it didn't damage the arrow(going to order some spare rests just in case I'm stupid again) target is excellent would say hard to miss but I still occasionally do, got backdrop net as extra for when my 6 to 8 year old's shoot with there bow
